Mini No 13
This is a super quick Tiger mini that goes along with the Imrijka Iconic Inquisitor (Reaper 60046) that I painted a little while back. I was worried about paint it because fur, how do you even paint fur?

The mini is pewter and I primed it white, since the majority of the tiger is actually white. Let me apologize now for how little progress pics I took of this mini. What happened was that I added a liberal wash to another mini and as it was drying I decided to pick this guy up and start adding some orange for the fur, but the whole mini came together and was painted in like 30 mins that I didn’t even think about taking pictures. I surprised myself.

So here is what I did, I added a little bit of brown to an orange and loaded it onto a dry brush. I very gradually added layer after layer of orange dry brush to the tiger. It went on perfectly on the areas that I wanted and didn’t apply to the areas that I didn’t want all by itself. When it dried I gave it a sepia wash on the orange to give it depth.
I then look up pictures of tigers and just copied the stripes exactly. This was the scary part, but it ended up being really easy. Finally I painted the base green and gave the tiger blue eyes.
Lastly I added a punch of bushy grass to the base. I did this so that the weird tall stem going to the tigers mid would be covered and so that it would look like the tiger was pouncing out from the grass.
