Paint Organization

I only started painting minis in January, but have accumulated quite a lot of bits and bobs with no organization what so ever. This is what it looks like now:

As you can see the bottles are all just lined up and keep falling behind the table is something is pushed. They are all in different types of bottles and some are old and don’t mix well no matter how much you shake and agitate them. Step one I bought a bunch of empty eye dropper bottles from Amazon and transferred all paints in pots to bottles.

Once this was done I painted the tops of all the bottle caps with a white primer.

Next I bought a bunch of ball bearings to put in each bottle. This is to agitate the paint more aggressively when I shake the bottles and with any hope the paint will be well mixed when ready to paint.

Finally the fun part!! I painted the lids for each bottle with the paint contained within, that way I know exactly what the paint will look like when I paint it on a mini. I bought some wooden, open top, boxes from Dasio which will keep the paints from falling off the back of the table. Once the paint dried I have the tops of the bottles a heavy varnish of Testors Dullcoat.

Take care,

Nelly
